On Sep 29,2025, a promotion meeting for the China Shanxi Provincial Science and Technology Major Project, "Research and Application Demonstration of Industrialized Production Processes for Copper-Nickel-Tin Alloys for High-End Sliding Bearings," was held at North Copper New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. Research teams from universities such as North University of China and Taiyuan University of Technology, as well as companies such as Northern Copper, North Copper New Materials, and Shanxi Neilnet, participated in the meeting. The meeting aimed to promote the transition of laboratory-based copper-nickel-tin alloy research to mass production, fundamentally resolving the bottleneck in the supply of high-end sliding bearing materials in China.

This major provincial project was submitted in 2024, and the collaboration officially launched in January of this year. It was jointly launched by North University of China, Taiyuan University of Technology, and Shanxi Neilnet Company, with Beitong New Materials taking the lead as both the demander and the undertaker.

As the leading enterprise in Shanxi's copper-based new materials industry chain, Zhongtiaoshan Group possesses comprehensive mining, smelting, and processing capabilities, as well as advanced smelting and casting equipment. This promotion meeting clarified the division of labor among the four parties involved in "production, academia, research, and application," and finalized the project's implementation timeline.

As the project progresses, my country's dependence on imported copper-nickel-tin alloys for high-end sliding bearings will gradually be reversed, while filling the domestic gap in this material and providing support for my country's military industry, aviation, marine engineering and other key areas to achieve independent control of materials.
